Credit Score Simulator Malaysia

Check the four things Malaysian lenders read on your credit reports: repayment conduct, card utilisation, recent applications and debt service ratio.

Your credit profile

Malaysia has no single official credit score. Banks read your CCRIS report (repayment history, no score) and often a CTOS or Experian report. This checks the factors they look at.

Understanding the numbers

How the figures above are worked out — the rules, rates and reasoning behind every line.

Estimates only. Results are for planning purposes and may differ from official figures. Confirm against the relevant authority before making financial decisions.

There is no single credit score in Malaysia

Bank Negara's CCRIS report lists your loans and 12 months of repayment conduct, but it has no score. Private bureaus such as CTOS and Experian publish scores, each using its own model.

Lenders look at the underlying facts, so this tool rates those instead of inventing a number. Your overall rating is your weakest factor, because one serious problem is enough to get an application declined.

What each factor means

Repayment conduct: how many months behind you have been on any facility in the last year. Being two or more months in arrears is a common reason for rejection.

Card utilisation: card balances as a share of your limits. Below 30% looks healthy.

Recent applications: every application shows on CCRIS. Many in a short time can suggest financial stress.

Debt service ratio (DSR): monthly repayments as a share of net income. Banks commonly cap it around 60–70%.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check my CCRIS report?

You can request it free from Bank Negara Malaysia through eCCRIS online, or at BNM's offices.

Is this my CTOS score?

No. CTOS and Experian use their own models and don't publish the formulas. This tool rates the factors those reports are built from, so you can see what to fix.
