Understanding the numbers

How the figures above are worked out — the rules, rates and reasoning behind every line.

Repaying your PTPTN loan

PTPTN charges a 1% per-year flat Ujrah (service fee), rather than compound interest. The standard repayment term is 5, 10, 15 or 20 years depending on the Ujrah principal.

How it's calculated

Total Ujrah = balance × 1% × years. We add that to your balance and divide across the repayment months. Your official myPTPTN schedule may also include account-specific adjustments.

Frequently asked questions

Does PTPTN charge interest?

PTPTN charges a 1% yearly Ujrah (an administrative fee) on the loan, not compound interest, making it much cheaper than a typical loan.
